The Fender Traditional II 70s Jazz Bass is the Japanese branch’s sophisticated take on the iconic "Marcus Miller" era. It captures the aesthetic of the late 70s while delivering modern precision and playability.

While many Ash-bodied 70s reissues, or the real deal, can be heavy (often 9–10 lbs), this specific bass was personally hand-selected for its incredible weight of only 8.5 lbs. It delivers that unmistakable Jazz Fusion punch without the shoulder strain on every gig. Even in its pure, passive form, without a preamp or high-mass bridge, the resonant Ash body produces that signature 70s snap and growl many know and love.

As always, Fender Japan delivers exceptional build quality. Following the 2020 rebranding, production has been overseen by Custom Shop Master Builders who have implemented no tolerance for imperfections. The result is a level of fit and finish that easily surpass much higher-priced American counterparts.
